Welcome to Augusta State University! Making the transition to college can be challenging, so START UP has developed the ACES program to help you begin your college career at ASU. ACES assists you in building toward your goals by providing support throughout your initial term.
This guide is designed to help you pace yourself through your first semester. From the introduction through closing, each section is keyed to assist you in focusing on issues pertinent to that part of the term. Weekly planning calendars accompany each section providing you with a tool to plan how you will allocate time for classes, studying, activities and all your other commitments. The Class Profiles are available in PDF format to help you keep track of vital information about each of your classes. You may want to bookmark the "Q&A: Where's What?" campus map and phone directory for quick referral (or print the PDF ).
You will notice that the ACES PDF pages have 3 circles down the margin; these indicate where you should punch holes to store the pages in a 3-ring binder. You may find it helpful to keep these pages, along with any other materials you feel are appropriate (such as course syllabi, personal notes, campus and intructor handouts) in one convenient place.
