Freshman Orientation
Welcome to Augusta State University! We are glad you will be joining the ASU community by first attending the New Student Orientation Program. The Orientation program is designed so that you will receive quality academic advising and become familiar with your new home-away-from home. The program is also available to family members to help them become familiar with ASU, its people, programs and offices.
Please plan to arrive at 8:30 a.m. for check in under blue tents in the front entrance of the university at the circular drive. A light continental breakfast will begin at 8:30 a.m. followed by a welcome session in the Performing Arts Theatre. Orientation will conclude around 5:00 p.m.
Orientation Parking: Please park in any ASU parking space not designated for faculty/ staff.
Immunization Form: If you haven’t already sent in your immunization form, please bring your completed form with you to Orientation.
JAGCard: You will receive more information about your official ASU ID and will have the chance to take your picture during the Orientation. The JAGCard office is located on the 2nd Floor of the Jaguar Student Activities Center.
Parking Permits: Students must register their vehicles to park on ASU grounds. Parking Services will be available in the lab that you register for courses. Please come prepared to provide information regarding any vehicle you plan on parking at campus.
What to bring with you:
1. Government Issued ID
2. Official Admission Letter
3. Paperwork from Financial Aid (if you are receiving any)
4. COMPASS Placement Exam Scores
Registration is required for Orientation. Please call the Office of Student Activities at 706-737-1610 to register for New Student Orientation.
