The Fall 2009 Film Series

 The Augusta State Film Series is presented by The ASU Department of Communications and Professional Writing. The Fall and Spring Film series is a screening of interesting movies selected by ASU faculty and staff. The film screening takes place every Monday at 7 PM in University Hall room 170. These events are free and open to the public!

"Hunger" - September 29, 2009

"Medicine for Melancholy" - October 5, 2009

"Barry Lyndon" - October 19, 2009

A retrospective screening of Stanley Kubrick’s period masterpiece. If you’ve never seen it on a big screen now is the time to feast your eyes on the 18th-century splendor of Kubrick’s adaptation of the William Makepeace Thackeray novel. Starring Ryan O’Neal, who in 1975 was a big romantic draw for the box-office, Barry Lyndon in its own way is said to show many similarities with another, more controversial Kubrick film, Clockwork Orange.
