About Dr. Joyce Jones

D r. Joyce Jones earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Nebraska and received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Text Women's University in Denton, Texas . She has counseled young adults for more than 14 years, focusing in the area of childhood psychopathology.

Previously, Dr. Jones held the positions of Director of Educational Programs at the Carter Center of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.

Dr. Jones is responsible for coordinating the offices of the Career Center, Counseling Center, Testing and Disability Services, Financial Aid, FYE, Student Activities, Housing, International Student Program, and the Grover C. Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre.

Dr. Jones relates to students as a counselor and advocate… her door is always open! In her “free” time, Dr. Jones enjoys a round of golf or reading a good book.
