AUGUSTA
STATE UNIVERSITY FEES AND POLICIES FOR
THE PERFORMING ARTS THEATRE
Augusta State University will furnish the Performing Arts Theatre as
is -- that is, with lighting, amplification, and stage furnishing
adequate for lectures, recitals, etc. Any additions or modifications
performed by University employees beyond minor adjustments will be at
additional cost.
A $100.00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT IS
REQUIRED FOR EACH BOOKING
- Theatre: Per Performance: FOUR HOUR MAXIMUM -- $600.00 All
Organizations. The above includes:
- FOUR HOUR MAXIMUM Set-up time preceding performance.
- Regularly Scheduled custodial/clean-up charges. (Overtime
custodial charges not included.)
- Per Rehearsal: FOUR HOUR MAXIMUM
- $200.00 All Organizations
- $ 18.00 Per hour - additional setup and/or rehearsal time.
- Stage Hands (Minimum of 2 required) -- By Arrangement
- Grand Piano -- $35.00 per use
- Police/Security -- $16.50 per hour/per officer 3 hr min
- Scene Shop / Construction / Staging -- By Arrangement
- Special Sound -- By Arrangement
- Special Lighting -- By Arrangement
- Liability Insurance -- Required
- License Agreement -- Required
-NOTE-
- The user is subjected to all University regulations. Questions
concerning booking should be referred to the Physical Plant Office at
(706) 737-1593
- Questions regarding setup, equipment etc. should be referred to
Theatre Manager Henry Thomas at (706) 667-4099.
- At the discretion of the Public Safety Department, Police Officers
will be assigned to maintain campus security. The cost of security, for
which there is a three hour minimum fee, will be charged to the
requester.
- Theatre capacity is 750 if the thrust stage is used, 800 if not. Fire
regulations do not permit any standing or temporary seating.
- Building temperature is maintained according to campus regulations
(78 degrees in summer and 68 degrees in winter).
- No smoking or refreshments are permitted in the auditorium. No
smoking is permitted in the building.
