El Salvador - Habitat for Humanity is the first of its type of programs for Augusta State University. It offers the exciting opportunity to take classes in non-profit business management and/or wellness and to help build a house for a family in El Salvador on a service learning project with the charity Habitat for Humanity International.

Participants will have single rooms in a convent where all meals will be provided.

Itinerary:

April 2nd- fly to San Salvador, El Salvador

April 3rd- in country orientation and orientation to the work site

April 4th - 8th work with the Habitat for Humanity work project in El Salvador, this project includes working with a partner family to build simple, decent, affordable accommodations for those in need. Work typically starts on the house at 8am and will finish at about 5pm with a break for lunch. You don't need any prior house building experience - you just need to be willing to have a go and work hard!

April 9th – Cultural Activities in the city

April 10th- return to the US
