Honors Breaking Boundaries

This course focuses on postmodern recreations of the Middle Ages and the romanticized conception of the period within the social mentality of modern culture. This course will examine how the Middle Ages has been treated in movies, television, fiction and games. The study abroad element will expand these goals to include public history interpretations.

Magazine writing and production I and II
Dr. Debbie van Tuyll
A two semester sequence to provide hands on experience in writing and producing public relations publications. Students will write articles or create page designs for departments in the student magazine, the Phoenix. Work may also be done in business, advertising, or photography aspect of publication.

Dr. Wendy Turner
This course will cover the history of the British Isles with emphasi s on England. We will begin our study with the first people on the island and work our way through the Celts, the Roman Invasion, the Saxon takeover and the Norman conquest, up through the Tudors.
