Mid-Sweden Semester Exchange

Did you know that Augusta State has an exchange agreement with Mid-Sweden University This agreement lets Augusta State students attend classes, in English, and earn credit, but pay NO tuition!

What can I study?
Mid Sweden offers classes in the following areas: Social Sciences, Social Work, Health Sciences, Information Technology, Media, Engineering, Physics, Math, English, History and other Humanities courses.

How do I apply?
1. Choose courses
Exchange students can apply to study part of a Bachelor or Master's program, or apply for single courses. A complete semester is one with the total amount of 30 credits, built up by either separate courses of 7.5-15 credits or one course of 30 credits. The university does not recommend students to choose a workload exceeding 30 credits per semester.

The courses are usually taken one after the other (consecutive scheduling) and the applicant needs to choose courses accordingly. When applying for single courses the important thing to remember is to choose courses that start at different times during the semester so that the student does not end up with four courses that all start at the same time.

The single courses are divided into the undergraduate and the graduate level. On the undergraduate level, most courses have the labels A, B or C. A corresponds to the basic level courses, B to continuation courses and C to specialized courses.
