Successfully complete a criminal background check:
Due to the sensitive nature of working with children in the public schools, the Department of Public Safety at Augusta State University will conduct a background review of all students. Only students who have satisfied the background check process will be given a lab assignment. You will be notified via email when it is time to fill out a background check form.

As a student of Augusta State University, you are representing not only ASU but also the College of Education. Students are expected to dress appropriately for their lab experience. Inappropriate behavior or dress will not be tolerated and students who exhibit such behavior will be withdrawn from the course.
