Dr. Thompson has been enjoying his time at Augusta State University since 2000. He is an Associate Professor of Science Education. He earned a B.S. in Forest Science from the Pennsylvania State University. After earning his science teaching certification in grades 7-12 from Carlow College, he began his teaching career in Virginia. He then put himself through graduate school by teaching High School during the day and running at Martial Arts Academy in the evenings. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia and started his university teaching career at South Dakota State University. The south beckoned and after four wonderful years in the great, white north he came to Augusta to continue his career.
