Greetings! My name is Christi Pace! If you asked about my background, I would tell you that I was born and raised in Texas, near the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I've always considered myself a classroom teacher at heart! In fact, I spent over twenty years as a classroom English teacher prior to my arrival at ASU. As for my formal education, I pursued a triple major in English, Secondary Education, and Psychology at East Texas State University, graduating “with honors” in 1988. I eventually obtained my master's degree from Texas A & M University in Secondary Education- curriculum and instruction- in 1997. In 2005, I obtained an Ed.S. in Leadership, emphasis in curriculum and instruction, from Cambridge College. Following my Specialist degree, I began work as an educational consultant, providing writing workshops to school districts around the country. I joined the ASU adjunct faculty in January 2009 until I was hired full-time. In the near future, I anticipate beginning my journey toward a doctorate degree in education.

I have taught in both public and private school settings and hold teaching certificates in language arts, grades 6-12, in both Texas and Georgia. Additional teaching experience includes instructing both gifted and struggling students, as well as teaching English as a Second Language while residing in South Korea.

On a more personal note, my husband and I moved to Georgia in 1991, following his Army tour of duty in South Korea. We lived in Savannah, GA, on Hunter Army Airfield until he eventually completed his duty. We then moved to the Augusta area and have lived here for sixteen years. We have two sons, Zachary and Noah. When I'm not working, you will find me enjoying time with family, reading, and traveling.
