Debbie Callan earned her BS in Elementary Education and Psychology from Sacred Heart University, and her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and Specialist Degree in Teaching and Learning from Augusta State University. She has been employed as a first grade teacher in Columbia County at Bel Air Elementary School since 1978 and has been an adjunct instructor at ASU since 2006. She has represented Bel Air Elemenatry School as Teacher of the Year a number of times and was recognized as Columbia County's Teacher of the Year in 1992.
