Dr. Emam Hoosain

Born in Guyana, South America, of Asian ancestry and educated in Guyana, United Kingdom, and the United States of America, Dr. Hoosain has a Ph. D., an M.A., two Diplomas in Mathematics Education, and a B.A. in Mathematics. He taught at elementary, middle, high, and university levels and also taught in two vocational schools. He teaches courses in mathematics education and educational research and has a special interest in mathematics education and the history of mathematics. Dr. Hoosain's research interests include how students solve mathematical word problems and find the sum of infinite series.
