A product of the Richmond County Schools, I earned a B.A. degree from Mercer University/Tift and received my M.Ed. from Ga. Southern University. I worked 31 years for Richmond Co. BOE, where I was better known as "Coach Mac", as a Health and Physical educator and coach. I am National Board Certified in Physical Education.

In retirement, I volunteer with Georgia Women's Golf Association and the Georgia State Golf Association, as well as local organizations. I work part time with the Teacher Education Department as a Supervisor for Apprentice and Practicum students.
