Dr. Misato Yamaguchi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Teacher Education at Georgia Regents University. She has received Ph.D in Social Studies and Global Education with two cognates in Multicultural Education and Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from The Ohio State University.
Her research and scholarship interests include: Global Education with emphasis on Social Studies, International Comparative Education, Cross-cultural Experiential Learning, and Multicultural Education. She also has interest in the examination of culture in qualitative research.
Dr. Yamaguchi is originally from Tokyo, Japan and a former high school exchange student in Texas. She has lived in different regions of the U.S. from Hawai'i to Washington D.C. and Ohio to Georgia. She also has a wide range of international experiences through her professional, academic, and personal experiences. Dr. Yamaguchi enjoys international collaboration in her teaching and research. She also enjoys traveling and has visited nearly forty countries around the world.
