Dr. Rebecca Harper received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and her Masters Degree in Educational Technology both from USC Aiken. She completed her Ph. D. in Language and Literacy from the University of South Carolina where she studied the instructional practices of writing teachers. Dr. Harper taught 7th and 8th grade Creative Writing and Social Studies before coming to GRU. Currently, she teaches literacy courses in both the undergraduate and graduate program at GRU. Her research interests include teacher beliefs, writing across the curriculum, the process approach to writing, and writing workshop. She lives in Aiken, SC with her husband Will and her two daughters Amelia and Macy Belle.
