Ronnie Harrison received his Ed.S and M.Ed in Educational Administration and Supervision at Augusta State University in addition to a B.S. in English from Mercer University. Before coming to Georgia Regents University in 2002, he retired from the Richmond County Public School system after thirty-one years of service, eighteen years as a high school teacher and thirteen years in administration as assistant principal and principal.

Since coming to Georgia Regents University, Harrison has been a faculty member and served as assistant chair of the Department of Teacher Education for one year. He has served as a member of the Teacher Education Council and the coordinator of Middle Grades program. He is the coordinator of the College of Education Partner School Network and chairs the Partner School Advisory Committee.

Harrison is actively involved as an advisory member Human Relations the Student Judicial and Library Committees and coordinates the Impacting Student Learning Conference for the Summerville campus. Harrison also serves as a reviewer for the BRIDGE (Building Resources: Induction and Development for Georgia Educators, an online resource database for P-12 teachers in collaboration with the Georgia Systemic Teacher Education Program. He has taught courses at the graduate and undergraduate level, including middle level curriculum and best practices, multicultural education, writing in the content areas, and integrated reading pedagogy across the content areas. Harrison’s scholarship is focused on middle level curriculum, interdisciplinary and integrated instruction.
