Discussion about inventory procedures
Mary - would need procedure for keeping us up-to-date when equipment changes, especially computer swap-outs.****Randle - invite Nic Deloach to join the triad listserv to give her and us easier access for equipment updates
David - how about inventory by numbers rather than by serial numbers
Mary - Instructor's station - had drives mapped out and then it changed without warning. I didn't know it until it caused a crunch with my teaching
Monday's College of Education Technology Update Day - Randle will be in 305 to demonstrate scanning, Smartboard, video projector, recording your voice, etc. Bill and Randle discussing the size of the Smartboards that we can get.
David - His proposed Mission Statement. Discussed changing some references to student to read the ASU campus.
********David to forward another copy of his mission statements and procedures to triad
Discussion about booking procedures and a way to see who is doing what in 305.
********Keys for cabinet - David to check with Vera about keys for each trainer
Discussion - should equipment be available for checkout? No. Use Media Services. If you are outside room using it for training - leave a note stating when you expect to return.
Room scheduling - can put into the reservation the type of equipment needed. Need to put "special" equipment like cameras into the reservation.
Common training - for trainers - graphics training together - for other support staff - then ASU campus - fac & staff - then students
QUESTION: What training is needed? What priorities should we have? Bring some thoughts to the next meeting.
Mary has to leave. Nothing on her list that we didn't cover.
******ALL: Go to http://www.aug.edu/instructional_services and then Skills and Concepts. Take the three checklists for PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE to see what training we need to do internally. Send results to Maureen for compilation.
Smartboard and Elmo - Rose said no funding this time around for that equipment.
****Randle/Maureen - check with Ron about funding? May not happen because of some unexpected purchases that have already been made this year.
Instructor's Desk - purchased with L. Discussion about funding and positive relations with campus community. Remote Keyboard and mouse? Podium in back for the keyboard.

WOULD LIKE TO SCHEDULE A MEETING WITH ALL THE DIRECTORS, ALL THE TRAINERS, AND ALL THE ALTERNATE TRAINERS SO WE CAN TALK ABOUT WHAT WE ARE DOING.
