Student Honors
The Women's Studies Program is fortunate to work with many talented students. These students are recognized through entrance into Triota, the Women's and Gender Studies honor society, and each year, the program celebrates the achievements of one high achieving student with the Outstanding Student in Women's Studies Award.
Women's Studies students consistently share their work in academic forums, including the Phi Kappa Phi Research and Fine Arts Conference, the Women's Studies Symposium, and the Center for Under Graduate Research Brown Bag Series. Several Women's Studies
students have also presented work at national and regional conferences, including the National Women's Studies Association Conference and the Southeastern Women's Studies Association Conference.
In addition to their academic excellence, Women's Studies students are also honored for their service to the campus community. The Women's Studies Student Association, pictured above, received the Leading the Path Award in 2011 from the Office of Student Activities.
