This completely new and original version of the Augusta State University Writing Center website was commissioned by Writing Center Director Karin Sisk in the Fall of 2003. She enlisted the help of student assistant/tutor Steven Fichtel to compile vast amounts of information into a form accessible through the World Wide Web. This genius of a student is responsible for the graphic headers present at the top of each page. He is also the writer of much of the perfunctory original text on the website -- that is, anything that is not a detailed explanation of information. The Writing Center History section was compiled and composed by Mrs. Karin Sisk, along with the Writing Center Philosophy page. Many of the documents presented in the "Resources" section were painstakingly typed by tutors including Stacie Harbuck, Diana Gentry, and Amanda Wescom.
The website is currently maintained by Joseph Hall. Some of the example essays have been formatted by Ben Mattice and Tiffany Hollomon. Melinda McCew is currently helping out as assistant Webmaster.
We hope this website is and continues to be an entertaining and educational source of knowledge and information for the students of Augusta State University. Thanks for visiting our home on the web and we look forward to seeing you in person in the Writing Center.
