Why I love ZTA: "When I moved back from Atlanta, I felt like I didn’t know anyone here and it made me miserable to be here. One of my closest friends from high school, Jessica, was a ZTA here already and I saw how much she enjoyed being with this group of girls. I went to PIG OUT with Jessica one day and she walked up to these girls that were all wearing the same t-shirt. I remember feeling so intimidated and so out of place, but they were so super nice to me and even though I wasn’t a ZTA I felt like that didn’t matter to them and I was happy to finally meet some really nice people. When I joined ZTA I felt like I met people that will be in my life forever; girls I can call after bad dates (and good dates), girls that know who I am and accept me, my closest friends, girls I am proud to acknowledge as my sisters. My best friends have come out of this group! ZTA has also given me the chance to serve in a leadership position and understand the hard work that goes into making an event run smoothly; it’s great experience for future jobs. Besides the sisters I have made, I have met so many other people on campus because of ZTA. Being part of such a recognizable group has made it easier for me to be comfortable talking to complete strangers. Each day I am prouder of the accomplishments we have made and I have made from being a ZTA.”
