In 1992, Zeta Tau Alpha adopted The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation as the Fraternity's national philanthropy. At the 1996 International Convention, the Fraternity voted to increase ZTA's support of breast cancer awareness by backing all organizations committed to breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment. ZTA has provided more than a quarter of a million dollars to breast cancer research and education. Today, our National Philanthropy is Breast Cancer Education and Awareness.

In 2004, the ZTA Foundation was pleased to announce that THINK PINK!® became a registered trademark of Zeta Tau Alpha with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. ZTA is also in partnership with Yoplait Yogurt, the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation, NFL, and SELF magazine.

Every October, our chapter volunteers at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. We show our support by working in the survivor tent and also participating in the race. With our annual "Strike Out Breast Cancer" Bowling Tournament, we have raised over $16,000 in the last two years for breast cancer education and awareness.
