To prepare: Read Exercise 8 in the lab manual and review the classification outline for Phylum Cnidaria in this guide.

In lab: Examine the display specimens and look for distinguishing characteristics. You will also dissect a sea anemone. You should be able to identify many of the structures on page 130 of your lab manual. When you look at the other specimens, you should be able to identify many of the structures identified in the your lab manual. Make sure you look at all the Aurelia life cycle slides (p. 128 in lab manual) in your slide box!
