Olympiad Volunteers
 

Volunteers are always needed and welcome to assist with the running of the Olympiad. Some activities are done before the competition and others are done during the day of the event. Volunteers are needed to help with the running of specific events--set up scoring, etc. Please see the schedule for a list of times and events; a description of each event can be found on the National Olympiad page.

Other possible volunteer activities:

DAY BEFORE EVENT (MARCH 22, 2002)

place signs on various rooms and buildings
fold and assemble programs
sort T-shirts for teams

THE DAY OF THE EVENT (MARCH 23, 2002)

assist with setting up one or more events
serve as campus guide and provide directions to various venues
assist with scoring
place ribbons and tests into envelopes for each school
pick up food from various businesses
deliver final results to local papers and TV stations
other activities that you can think of

Volunteers receive an Olympiad T-shirt, lunch, and an official thank you letter and are invited to observe the award ceremony.
