Integrated Science Classes
ISCI 2001 Life/Earth Sciences for Elementary Education (2-2-3)
This course is designed to provide early childhood education majors with hands-on experiences in the life sciences and earth sciences that can be incorporated into the P-4 classroom. Emphasis will be placed on experimentation and activities, their use in the understanding of concepts in the life and earth sciences, and their direct application in the P-4 classroom.
MATH 1101, MATH 1111, or MATH 1113, and one Area D laboratory science course.
ISCI 2002 Physical Science (2-2-3)
An Area F course for an early childhood education major that focuses upon the most fundamental aspects of physics and chemistry. Conceptual understanding through exploration and experimentation will be employed to develop long-term connections to the formulaic components of the physical sciences.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 1101, MATH 1111, or MATH 1113, and one Area D laboratory science course.
