Mission Statement

The Georgia Association for Women in Education (GAWE) is a state-wide association dedicated to providing professional support for women educators through programs, services, advocacy and publications.  The Association embraces cooperative association, professional development, and activities in the areas of administration, public services, academic services, instruction, and research that Georgia's women educators conduct in educational institutions and agencies.  The Association is committed to life-long learning and to furthering educational and career development opportunities for professional women educators, with an emphasis on higher education.   GAWE is affiliated with the National Association for Women in Education (NAWE).
