“Ancient Days in Augusta”. This manuscript was written by Charles G. Benson, the late long time resident of Augusta and son of Civil War Hero Berry Benson (the man who posed for the statue on the top of Augusta’s Confederate Monument.)

On 5 October 2010 at 2:30 p.m., events will include:

Dramatic readings from the manuscript by Professor Rick Davis’ Acting 1 class,

A talk with Mr. Erick Montgomery, Executive Director of Historic Augusta, and

A talk with Mr. Joseph M. Lee, III, author of “Augusta: A Postcard History”.
