“The Haunted Pillar” on Broad St. This pillar is from the clock tower that stood on the Lower Market that was destroyed in 1878 by a freak cyclone. It is called “The Haunted Pillar” because each time someone has attempted to move it, someone has either been seriously injured or killed.
