Description: This bridge over the Augusta Canal on 15th St. is named for Archibald Butt, an Augusta native who served as military aid to Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and William Taft. He died in the Sinking of the RMS Titanic while returning from a vacation in Europe. The Bridge was dedicated by President Taft in 1914.
