| 2.7: Administrative / Biographical History: | This material was transferred to Special Collections by the Office of the Vice President during the academic year 2005-2006. The program started as the Cullum Visiting Scholars series in 1968. In 1973, the Cullum Third World Lecture Series, was also added. The bulk of the material deals with the Lecture series on Japan from 1983-1985. The majority of the Japan Lecture Series files are the professional correspondence of Dean J. Gray Dinwiddie in organizing this event. Dr. Dinwiddie (1923-2003) was Dean of Arts and Sciences of Augusta College from 1968-1988. He is considered a principle founder of the Cullum Lecture Series. The 2007 Lecture Series was entitled “A Year of Jazz and ASU” and dedicated to the memory of Dr. Dinwiddie. |
