The Authors Club of Augusta Georgia was founded on January 30, 1928. Membership is by nomination only and consists “of those whose published writing shall entitle them to be classed in the rank of author.” (Authors Constitution September, 2001) The club has been a strong supporter of the Sand Hills Writers Conference. Authors listed among the membership have included Berry Fleming, Edison Marshall and Hervey Cleckley. All genres of writing, fiction, non-fiction and poetry have been included. |
