2.7: Administrative / Biographical History: This material was donated to Special Collections Reese Library by the creator’s son Mr. Thomas H. Robertson in 2009. Mr. Heard Robertson (October 29, 1922-September 27, 1990) was born and raised in Augusta, and established a law practice from which he retired in later life. He was on the boards of the Georgia Historical Society, the Richmond County Historical Society and the Augusta-Richmond Museum and served as a Trustee of the Academy of Richmond County.

A published author, his best known works are Augusta and the American Revolution: Events in the Georgia Back Country written with Edward J. Cashin and as editorial supervisor with A. Ray Rowland of Journal of An Expedition against the Rebels of Georgia in North America Under the Orders of Archibald Campbell Esquire, Lieut. Colol. Of His Majesty’s regiment 1778 edited by Colin Campbell.
