3.1: Scope and Content: The collection consists of papers of W.H. Fluker from 1906-1926. The papers mainly contain correspondence, both incoming to Fluker and typed carbons of his replies, pertaining to his involvement with the Columbia Mining Company (McDuffie County, Ga.). Most of the correspondence is from M.L. Bickart of Baltimore (Md.). The letters discuss gold and other mineral mining activities of the Company, accounts and budgets, improvements, surveys, housing for workers, and the effect of World War I on mining operations.
