2.7: Administrative / Biographical History: It is assumed that Special Collections was given these photographs by someone connected to James T. Gardiner Jr. in order to preserve the photographs. James T Gardiner Jr. (1911-January 22, 1975) was a lifelong resident of Augusta who had a career as an insurance adjustor with Guy and Taylor Insurance Adjustors. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Augusta and a member of the Augusta Claims Association. At his death, he was survived by his older brother Lisle who resided in Oregon. There is no evidence of any other surviving relatives. The inventory and genealogical charts were prepared by Amy Grigsby.
