After much delay with cargo handling and rousting out the PSU we would relieve,
finally arrived in Camp Batar at 0600. With wet, tired people and drenched gear,

the Hilton. A heavy oily smell and soot permeated the air from the oil well
fires in Kuwait. We would endure this hardship almost continually during our
90-day deployment. THREATCON was C.
