Lab Requirements MGED 3112
 CORE II: (Last two weeks):

Activity 1- Curriculum overview: become familiar with Q.C C.’s and grade level expectations, standards and resources in two areas of content
ASSESSMENT: Bulletin board entries, lesson plans

Activity 2- Curriculum and instruction analysis: based on team planning observation, teacher/team interview, and instructional observation.  Examines:

ASSESSMENT: Bulletin board entries, lesson plans, and self as MS Teacher post test

Activity 3- Management strategies: teacher /team interview, observations. Analyzes:

ASSESSMENT: Bulletin Board entries and Self as MS Teacher post test

Activity 4- Co-teaching 2-3 lessons /task cards- tutoring, small group, whole class. Based on content/objectives from the classroom teacher, utilizing Middle Level instructional strategies

ASSESSMENT: Lesson plan including: Outcomes, content objectives, procedures (which model task cards) authentic assessment, and reflection on the part of students and teacher, and reflection of how student needs were met.

Activity 5- Special education module- Two days in special education workshop and related special education focus tasks.
