Technology-Connected Lesson Plans

Design and implement four original technology-connected lesson plans that are framed within the context of your problem based learning unit. The lesson plan requirements are based upon a logical scope and sequence of skills to be developed throughout unit.

Lesson Plan One

The lesson plan will include:

• Lesson QCC Standards
• Assessment and Rubrics
• Lesson Procedures
• Lesson Materials
• One whole group technology connected activity
• One small group technology connected activity
• One or more samples of authentic student work

The second lesson plan will extend the requirements of the previous lesson plan and include:

• Lesson QCC Standards
• Assessment and Rubrics
• Lesson Procedures
• Lesson Materials
• One Individual student activity
• One classroom management strategy
• One or more samples of authentic student work

This lesson plan will extend the requirements of lesson two and include:

• Lesson QCC Standards
• Assessment and Rubrics
• Lesson Procedures
• Lesson Materials
• One small group cooperative learning activity
• One new classroom management strategy
• One or more samples of authentic student work

This lesson plan will extend the requirements of lesson three and include:

• Lesson QCC Standards
• Assessment and Rubrics
• Lesson Procedures
• Lesson materials
• One whole group activity
• One small group cooperative learning activity
• One individual student activity
• One student self-assessment rubric
• One teacher student assessment rubric
• One URL-Internet connection to the lesson
• One new classroom management strategy
• One or more samples of authentic student work

Each team will be responsible for developing a group tri-board. The tri-board will be presented in class and each display may include:

• Samples of student work
• Samples of teacher made instructional materials

• Provides opportunities and experiences for students to prepare to meet the problem
• Engages students in activities that help identify what is known about the problem, what "New" information needs to be known, and other ideas surrounding the problem
• Defines the problem statement
• Opportunities to gather and share information
• Generates possible solutions
• Determines best fit for solutions
• Presentation of the problem
• Debriefing
