Some pictures from a weekend outing to Mt. Pisgah on the Blue Ridge Mountains Parkway. Below the s unday morning view, facing southeast, from our room balcony at the Mt. Pisgah Inn.

And the view facing southwest.

The sunlit restaurant at the Inn.

The Blue Ridge Mountains Parkway is of course world famous as a motorcycle paradise. Here you may actually count more motorcycles than cars.

Some riders come prepared to ride several days. Their bikes look like pack mules.

The North Carolina Mountain Ash produces a beautiful cluster of berries.

The Mountain Ash (note the red berry clusters), with Mt. Pisgah itself in the background.

Roswitha enjoys the lookout from the Inn.

Here she catches her breath as we took a break on our climb up to "Devil's Courthouse," a gorgeous lookout.

On top of "Devil's Courthouse."
