Staff Excellence Award

Augusta State University's Staff Advisory Council awards the Staff Excellence Award to one staff member each semester. The Staff Excellence Award recognizes performance excellence towards the overall mission of the university.

Eligibility:

• Nominee must be a member of the staff.
• Must be employed at ASU for a full year.
• Nominee must be benefits eligible.
• Nominee can only be eligible to win once a year.
• Cannot be on Staff Council at the time of nomination.

  Staff Excellence Award Criteria:

• Service to the department and college.
• Service to the university community (example: serving on committees, staffing or organizing events or university functions, and other voluntary university activities).
• Daily interaction with fellow staff members, students, and/or faculty.
• Other notable activities.

Award winners will receive $300 dollars and gifts. Winners will also be featured in the ASU Report and honored by the President at the Annual Retirement Ceremony.

Nomination Process

Any staff member, faculty member, or student can nominate a staff member for the Staff Excellence Award. Self-nomination is not allowed. To nominate a staff member, you must complete the Staff Excellence Nomination Form below. The form can be sent electronically to Victoria Worsham at vworsham@aug.edu or printed and sent through campus mail to Victoria Worsham, Bookstore, Box # 16. The form must be completed and responses should not exceed the word limit given. Once the nomination form is received, the nominator will be contacted with confirmation through e-mail or a phone call.
